Our time in Bendigo went really quickly and the last day was upon us! We awoke as usual to VERY noisy birds...... luckily not too early!! Couldnt stand to live here permanently tho!!
This tree was on the other side of the little Caravan Park Road (ie less than 50 metres away!!) It just looks normal but lets zoom in closer ....
Aha - a bird
... or 2 ....
The tree was filled with these very pretty very noisy birds!!
We packed up and headed off to the big Church again - this time we were able to go inside
Um so either this is a Pope or a high Church of England person coz I cant remember whether the Church was Catholic or Church of England lol
They had lovely stain glass windows wheihc were hard to photograph as I didnt have my tripod with me so either I had to handhold the camera with a long exposure = blurry or use a flash which didnt reach far enough = dark!!
After we finished looking around the Church we headed off to Bendigo's Science Discovery Centre (lkie a mini Scienceworks)
It was very cool with lots of puzzles etc and a planetarium - which I ended up freaking out in when more and more and more people came in and it was getting too crowded!! :( I was coping but when they let more and more people in and I suddenly got bery hot and decided I better get out before it started but I had got this photo of the ceiling before I left ...
Cool huh!
The puzzle pieces
It looks easy but let me tell you it did take some solving!
Freaky huh!!
Just plain weird lol
Nice tablecloth tho!! lol
OK I'm not going to put photos of every single thing we did there coz there's just way too many - but we had a lot fo fun with the many experiments and puzzles and then we went and watched a presentation on liquid nitrogen which was freaky!! The person doing the experiment (we seriously couldnt tell if it was a girl or a guy!!) was having so much fun - have a look at the glee on his/her face!!
He/she sjowed how liquid Nitrogen interacted with the air and different materials - it was a great show!
Mitchell (blue top) stood up and backed away when the LN was thrown on the carpet.....
but most of the other kids just dived at it lol
After this demonsttration there were still stacks of puzzles and little mini experiments to do - we actually went out of there to have lunch and came back in again lol
Click on this pic to see it bigger and have a go at the puzzle - its fun!!
It really is well worth visiting if you are in Bendigo - it's nowhere near as big as Scienceworks but there is still plenty to do!!
ok, tomorrow's post should see the holidays finished and then into 3rd term .......... slowly catching up lol
Jen (who has been really enjoying listening to the rain tonight!!)
